Nottingham City takes an evidence-based approach to improving the health of a population and tackling health inequalities - either directly through health services, or alongside colleagues working in other areas or departments which may have an impact on health.
By identifying the specific needs of a group of people, we are able to implement or commission services to help address those requirements over a period of time. This includes prevention of illness, planning health services, and protecting the public from communicable diseases and environmental hazards.
