The Digital Skills Heatmap, created in 2015 and recently updated is designed to help everyone better understand which areas in the UK are most at risk of digital exclusion. The map uses eight specific indicators that reflect some of the key technological and social issues affecting how citizens can get online and maximise the benefits of learning digital skills. Aimed at local authorities and local groups, the heatmap helps to identify where to focus on reducing digital exclusion through maps and deeper analysis, indicator by indicator.
