Census

Why we have a Census?

The Census happens every ten years and is a survey of the whole population. The last Census of England and Wales was held on 21st March 2021.  It captures a breadth of information which can be used to help target resources more efficiently and inform policy-making.

For more information about the Census please visit the Office of National Statistics website. An interactive map for Nottingham City is available here.

The results of the 2021 Census are being released from June 2022 until 2023, and relevant information about Nottingham will appear on this page when it is available.
